I'm trying to book online for a visit to Sagrada Familia. It's strange that when selecting the option of tower visit, the two dates of 9/26-9/27 were grayed out. But they are available if you don't select the tower visit. Also if I select Sagrada Familia with guide and the option of town visit, the page gave an error.
Has anyone had similar issues? Do you think guided tour is useful?

The cathedral is very large and can accommodate hundreds at a time. The towers are small. The tower tickets this close to your visit must be sold out. I used the audio guide and felt that was enough for me. I like to go at my own speed.
The audio guide will work just fine. I saw the tower on my last visit, but would not choose to do it again...just take the elevator, climb the steps and be pushed along. I enjoyed the actual facility much more.
Thank you for the information. I'll go with the audio guide without tower visit then. Just FYI, the tower option seems to be available on all dates between now and 9/26-9/27 except on these two days.
I agree that the audio guide is enough and we weren't impressed with our tower visit. It does give you a view of the roof tops, but it very squished and not clearly marked as to which way you are supposed to go. We went for the opening time slot and it was nice to be there before the crowds. We also got the combined ticket with the Gaudi house museum in Park Guell. The Park Guell monuments area is a separate ticket.

I say skip the tower and go for the audio tour with the combo Park Guell ticket. Go first thing in the AM if you can get it. I was there right at open on a Monday (9 AM, if I remember) and it was fairly civilized. The towers were swarmed almost immediately. La Sagrada Familia is magnificent! Make sure you take a look at the mason's workshops and all of Gaudi's models and plans in the crypt. Head for Park Guell, but buy the tickets for admittance to the monuments in the park which you don't want to miss. There are spectacular views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean from the central terrace. Enjoy!
