ON RS tour in April of 24. When in Barcelona, do you go inside the Sagrada Familia with the group, or just tour the outside? It is spectacular on the inside, and we don't want to miss it.

Yes, you go inside with a guide. The inside is the best thing about sagrada familia.

When we went in 2019, the guide gave each of us a ticket and told us to go inside on our own, not all together but in ones and twos. I think he was avoiding an extra charge for group tours. He and the local guide had given us a lot of information about the church beforehand. As I recall, the rest of the day was free time, so we could stay inside as long or as little time as we wanted.
Going inside is definitely worthwhile and definitely included on the tour. I liked the freedom to wander around inside and leave when I chose to. I didn't go up the tower but I think that was also possible.
