Has anyone purchased tickets for the Sagrada recently? Viator is about $58 per person. Is there a better deal elsewhere? The price is much higher than stated in Steves book, published last year. We are traveling mid May.
If you go to the official website, you have your choice of ticket types which are much cheaper than a third-party seller like Viator.

Thank you for this information. I was going to a different Sagrada website and the price was double this one. Worse than Viator!!
It looks like I have to wait until mid March to book tickets for mid May, but worth the wait.
We’re having trouble getting tickets through the official app—which you must use for the cheaper tickets for La Familia Sagrada. I’ve tried our credit and debit Visa cards to no avail. I think there is a problem with 2 factor authentication. Our bank sees no problems on their end. I’ve emailed the contact number but still don’t have tickets for March 2025. Having the same issue for the Vatican Museum on their official website.
Mls, you may well be running up against a two-factor authentication problem, but it won't hurt to try making the purchase with a different browser. If that doesn't work, try different hardware (phone, tablet, PC). Sometimes websites aren't optimized for all possibilities.
This has been a problem for us as well, we have tried different credit cards, different browsers, using a gmail address, calling our bank, and emailing with the venue at Sagrada Familia. Nothing has worked so far. I'm wondering if it might work using a prepaid VISA card. We may have to book through a third party seller and pay double!
I ended up buying tickets from tiquets.com. I couldn't get entry with a tour and tower access, so we went without a tour. The price is still significantly more than the official website, but not double, and the availability of time slots was good.
As @acraven mentioned, and as explained in previous posts, it's likely your card doesn't meet certain banking security standards here in Europe. Thus, depending on which bank the venue is banking with, your card might be rejected. It's a catch-22 for you guys, little you can do unless your banking system catches up...
Having said that, most large banks in the US already adhere to these standards, thus you shouldn't have any problem.
... still, in certain cases it might well be a different problem altogether, so the advice of trying different browsers, clearing your cache, using a different network (= different IP)... might prove successful. Sometimes it can also be a temporary problem at the destination site.
I just went to the official La Sagrada Familia website a couple of weeks ago and bought two guided tour tickets with no issues using Barclaycard World Mastercard.
This website worked fine for us -- https://sagradafamilia.org/en/tickets
26 euros each.
