RS Basque tour and the Running of the Bulls

Hello,
I've already posted this question in the RS tour forum, but it occurred to me this might be a better place. Apologies for the double post.

I'm pondering taking the early July RS Basque tour, which would coincide with the Running of the Bulls. While this would be a very exciting thing to see, I would think Pamplona would be especially crowded at that time. Is it worth the hordes?

Thanks!
Caroline

Caroline,
I can totally understand your concern. We took the Basque tour last September. It is an amazing trip! You will love it. After being introduced to the Running of the Bulls by our tour guide and our local guide ( both ran with the Bulls) it would be awesome to experience it. The guide will take great care of your group, so you do not need to plan anything. They have so much experience in making this special for you. I don't know for sure, but you may experience it from a balcony. Hopefully someone that took RS tour at this time will respond. Have a great time in the Basque region whenever you go!

I would go to Pamplona during the St. Fermin festival/running of the bulls. I went in 2013 for four days, running with the bulls twice. The wife viewed (filmed) from a balcony. It is a level of excitement almost unmatched. The spirit of Hemingway is everywhere. It is a 24 hour party. Each night there are fireworks in the park. Everyone dresses in white with a red sash around the waist and kerchief around the neck. You do not need to be in your twenties to enjoy the vibrate nature of the festival, I was 63 at the time.
