We plan to visit the Royal Alcazar on April 22nd and when I first looked for tickets there were about 6 different options available but they weren't yet selling tickets for our date. I was planning to get the GENERAL TOUR + CUARTO REAL ALTO ticket so that we could visit the royal apartments. Now that my date is available I see only the general ticket plus two free options, nothing including the royal apartments. Has anyone bought Royal Alcazar tickets lately for the royal apartments?

Perhaps you'll be less disappointed if you know that at least one guide book (probably Rick's) says the Royal Apartments are not all that great. I skipped them myself, so I can't offer my own opinion. The rest of the Alcazar is fabulous.
Refer to Rick's instructions for avoiding the also-long line at the Cathedral.

The Royal Alcazar in Seville is absolutely stunning!!! We loved it, and we did not visit the apartments. Take your time and soak in the history and ambiance. IMO, the Royal Alcazar is right up there with the Alhambra!
