Can anybody help us fill in the details of this day with transportation suggestions ?
Thanks !
Ron
We have done Ronda to La Linea and then walked into Gibralter by car. It would be an easy trip to Tarifa at the end of the day. I do not think it would an easy trip by public transport.
In La Linea we parked on the street for the day. Gibralter is touristy, but one trip in a life time is enough.
Glad to hear of your plan to DO RON-DA RON ... da doo ron ron !!
Good one, David! LOL!
Thanks Bob, and David ....
my first album was : Beach Boys Shutdown Volume 2, by the way .
Bob, We are also wondering if same day car rentals are easy in these Spanish cities and whether the day before, we might consider renting the car in Granada, as opposed to a train to Rhonda,
doing as you suggest and then, dropping the car off in Tarifa >>>>>>
I think you're getting "Help Me. Rhonda" confused with "Da Doo Ron Ron".
Sorry I haven't helped with your original question.
Right you are
Sherelles, I believe
Crystals. lol
If you have Rick's Spain book, see bus and train connections summarized at the end of each chapter, pages 782-3, 842, & 858. Departing Ronda, you can choose from one daily bus run by Comes or 5-6 daily trains (I suppose you'll choose the departure at 9:15), all going to Algeciras, 2-3 hours. Before catching a bus from Algeciras to La Linea (which run frequently and take 45 minutes), you can leave your bags in a bus station locker and confirm return bus schedules for La Linea-Algeciras-Tarifa (1.5 hours with connection, but you'd need time to retrieve the luggage). It's fine to arrive late in Tarifa, if you've let your hotel know.
