Ronda or Las Alpujarras

We will be traveling to Spain in March and are trying to decide whether to do Ronda or Las Alpujarras. The iconic views of Ronda sound appealing, however the small villages sound nice as well. We will be traveling there from Granada and then to Seville. It looks like Las Alpujarras is more direct from Granada. Most highly efficient isn't a priority though we just want to go to the most worthwhile place. We would be spending 1 night in the location we choose. Thank you!

You asked essentially the same question in December.

Worthwhile is very subjective, but if for no other reason than I haven’t been to them yet, I’d choose Las Alpujarras. The closest I’ve been is Lanjarón, south of Granada and it was a very nice village to walk around.

Las Alpujarras isn’t on most U.S. tourists’ radar. Unlike Ronda that is inundated with them, you’ll probably find very few tourists in Las Alpujarras villages. Regarding views and the countryside, I feel you’d be satisfied with either choice.

The tourist situation in Ronda is something we have considered. We will be going off season in early March though so we’re thinking it may not be as bad? Also, it looks like a day trip from Granada to Las Alpujarras might be possible? So maybe we could go both. I appreciate your thoughts and I will report back
