Hello, I am reading Rick Steves' Sevilla, Granada & Andalucía book. In the Ronda section, "sleeping in or near Ronda, in the new town", I don't see a website for Hotel Enfrente Arte Ronda, nor did I find the website when I googled it. Has anyone stayed there? I found third party sites that mentioned it, but I prefer to go to the property itself first.
I think it is now called Canaan Boutique Hotel, which does have a website.
Thank you, I did find the website for Canaan Boutique Hotel, however they require a two-night minimum stay. Has anyone stayed in Ronda? If so, should we stay in New Town, Old Town or countryside? Its just my husband and myself, driving from Malaga to Sevilla, staying one night in Ronda.
My favourite hotel in Ronda old town, with spectacular views over the gorge is the Reina Victoria. Completely modernised but originally built in 19th c for people escaping the summer heat of the coast.
Next favourite is the parador, again with amazing views.
It really just depends on what you are looking for. If I was just staying one night, I would stay at the parador or one of the gorge view hotels. If you are the type that is out all day and just wants a comfy place to sleep, then anywhere with parking is fine.
While I’ve never stayed at the Ronda Parador, I’m a huge fan of staying at them. So far I’ve stayed at 36 throughout the country. The last time we were in Ronda (2011) we stayed at what is now Hotel Soho Boutique Palacio San Gabriel. Parking for it was at Parking ronda just down the street. I believe we received a reduced rate.
We loved our stay at Catalonia Ronda. It’s in the new town, but honestly, I don’t think it matters much whether you stay in the new town or old town. They are only separated by the bridge. Our hotel had an amazing breakfast and view over the bullring (oldest one in Spain).
Thank you so much for all your responses! We figured it out and looking forward to our Andalusia adventure. :)
