If you're going to Ibiza in March for nightlife and beaches then you're going to be disappointed. The club season doesn't start until May and is in full swing during July and August and starts winding down in September. The beaches are going to be pretty much deserted in March and the sea will be cold.

The same applies to much of Spain although the major cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga etc will still be lively in terms of nightlife but nothing on the scale of Ibiza in the summer. Weather wise your best bet is Andalucia as it is the driest part of Europe but even in March it can be quite rainy, I've been in April and experienced days of persistent rain however I've also been in February and experienced wall to wall sunshine.

If you're not interested in historic places then March isn't the ideal time to visit to satisfy your interests. Are you tied to March or can you go during the summer?

March is two months too early in the year to experience beach life and resort nightlife in Spain... Unless you go to the Canary Islands instead of Ibiza. Have a look, it might suit you - several great party resorts, and amazing scenic beauty.

For the beaches, even though it will be too cold to do much other than walk on them, consider any town along the Costa del Sol (a large British expat enclave). The larger ones should have a somewhat lively nightlife, although not as lively as during the summer months. Southern Spain is relatively dry are arid in places, so its natural beauty is vastly different than northern Spain where its green with plenty of mountains. Unfortunately, even as far south as Madrid, Avila, and Salamanca, in March, it is not uncommon to find snow. If you’re driving between places, there are some small mountains and plenty of scenery in the Arcos de la Frontera to Ronda area, and I believe places to go hiking too.

Spain's beaches are mostly deserted in March. You'll see an occasional person walking a dog or maybe fishing. The nearby bars and cafes will be pretty dull, if they're open. The Mediterranean is cold then, too cold for anyone who's not in a polar bear club. Israel is farther south, so our climate is warmer and the beaches are pretty deserted then, though on a warm, sunny weekend you'll see some folks basking in the sun.

You should look at Central or South America for that kind of experience in March.
