We became tourist victims in Barcelona and one of the items taken was our Rick Steves' Spain book. I've gone to the TI and found lots of travel books but not the one I want? Anyone know where to fine one here?
Try one of these:
FNAC in Plaça Catalunya -west side, by the stop of the hoho bus
La Casa del Libro either in Rambla de Catalunya, 37 or in Passeig de Gràcia, 62
El Corte Inglés in Plaça Catalunya -east side, opposite to FNAC
I've listed on purpose these because they're very central and a stone throw away from each other. Then if you don't find it there, one of these other should have RS's guide as they're specialized on travel:
Altaïr in Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 616
Horitzons in València, 149
Guia in Travessera de Gràcia, 146
My emphathy for your loss and request of posting the incident so others may learn from your pain. I hope the remainder of your trip goes well.
bonnie,
If you're travelling with a Netbook, Tablet or whatever, the easiest and cheapest solution might be to just download the E-book 2015 version of the Spain guidebook. It's currently priced on Amazon at $10.90. Buying a hard copy of the book in a foreign store may be expensive, and this option would give you a reference source until you can replace your guidebook.
An older list that we have in-house here lists Altair (from Enric's list).
