I am traveling to Spain soon this month. I have created an account with RIA Money Transfer & Currency Exchange. I want to send money($) from my US Bank account to an RIA location in Barcelona and pick up cash(€). When the RIA website asks me for a p/u location dozens of spots appear on the map but none of them are RIA offices. Examples of choices:
Rambla 8, Santa Perpetua De Magoda
CI Joan Morgall 1 (Rambla de Las Boviles Esq c/b), Martorell.
I have no idea if these are stores or offices or ??
I'm being cautious because I don't want to lose my funds.
I need help from anyone familiar with this process or refer me to a link for more information.
THANK YOU!!!
Not sure why you have to send money to Spain, but it does not sound like for normal tourist purposes, so I would have to refer you to somewhere else for answers. Both of the locations you mention are well outside of the city of Barcelona.
Most people just use their ATM/Debit card to withdraw money from their bank account at any convenient ATM. Is there a reason this would not work for you? That, and also, credit cards are accepted almost everywhere, so there is little need for cash.
