Restaurants with memorable views in Madrid, Granada, Seville, Toledo and Barcelona?

Which restaurant provides the best evening views around sunset in Madrid? I'm a foodie but Ill sacrifice food for a memorable view and settle for serviceable food :) Also, is there a best place in Madrid for scenic outdoor dining in a plaza or small courtyard?

I remember loving some dinners along a small Venice canal outside and outside the Pantheon in Rome. Didn't care if the food was just solid. Love being outside in a fantastic setting with that ancient Europe vibe of old buildings cozy lighting. Back in MN where we have no views and very little outdoor dining I resume my picky foodie centric thinking :)

Same question for Toledo, Seville, Granada and Barcelona :)

For Barcelona:

La Cúpula Garraf - located in the quaint seaside community of Garraf, about 25 min south of Barcelona by train. You won't have to compromise on food here, as in addition to commanding views of the Mediterranean they also have one of the best Fideuà I've ever had, which is Paella but with short noddles instead of rice.

LA PLAÇA rooftop restaurant - located at the top of el Corte Inglés, for stunning views of Plaça de Catalunya and the cityscape below. This luxury shopping mall has a very good (and surprisingly affordable) cafeteria on the 9th floor, perfect for lunch or a light dinner.

Arenas de Barcelona - located at the rooftop of the former bullfight stadium turned shopping mall, there are a number of gourmet eateries that one can choose, which all offer 360 views of Barcelona and nearby Montjuïc.

Bumping this in hopes of getting some recommendations for our trip to Toledo and Seville. We make it our goal to eat one meal each day someplace with a great view.

Can't vouch for the food but we had drinks in the bar and the view of the Alhambra in Granada is exactly what you want at sunset. Restaurante El Balcón de San Nicolás is essentially the same view as the Mirador San Nicolás square view everyone goes there to see.

In Seville there is an amazing rooftop bar on top of the hotel Terraza Bar Hotel Dona Maria with great views of the cathedral tower lit up orange as the sky turns deep blue. They have a restaurant in the hotel but I don't know if they do food on the rooftop bar area or not but you can't beat the view.

A great restaurant in Toledo (but not with any particular view) is Colección Catedral. Really good food in an easy going environment kind of gastro-bar kind of thing. Took a flyer on it and ate there twice.

All the food we had in Spain was good - even at places we just kind of settled on - so enjoy!

Craig,
My mom and I enjoyed our meal at El Huerto de Juan Ranas with the best views of the Alhambra at sunset.
Make sure you arrive early and sit at the terrace bar. This place is right across the street from San Nicolás Mirador and it's a very popular place mainly because of the magnificent scenery!

Don't forget to book your Alhambra tickets up to 3 months in advance for best time selection!

Have a wonderful trip!

Don't expect a restaurant with good views in Madrid
On the other hand, I agree with David. 2 years ago we were in Barcelona (La Plasa Roftop) in the Plasa Catalonia
