Restaurants in Barcelona, please give recommendations!

I will be spending a week in Barcelona on a business trip and I have bought the Rick Steves Barcelona pocket guide which has several recommendations for restaurants but I thought I would ask if any of you have been there recently and found a place that was a good value or had great ambience. I love little restaurants run by locals, I am not into formal dinning with coat and tie dress codes. I am anxious to try Paella, if you know of a great place, let me know!

Rosa de Ravel 3.50 margaritas and great lunch menu de dia deal Mexican. Funky decor. Sister restaurant of Rosa near Palau de Musica.
Good breakfast spot for egg bocadillas and people watching neighborhood bar Cafe Principal on Muntaneer. Stick with wine, coffee or beer. Don't have mojitos or guac and chips there.

Paella is a Spanish (originating from Valencia) dish. Barcelona is in Catalonia and has several of their own rice based dishes. I suggest you try one or more of them during your stay.

El Tenedor is the local dining promotion website -- TripAdvisor bought them out last year but it is still worth looking at.
For instance, this is their current listing for the Eixample in Barcelona:

We love the tapas bars in Barcelona, but for a nice sit down dinner consider El Senyor Parellada in the El Born.
