Hi. We were planning to partake in a tour of Spain and Portugal but COVID affected those plans. Still planning to go in the future. Looking for recommendations on a cool resort town near Barcelona where we could unwind for a week in a AirBnB. Needs to be an easy commute from Barcelona a with a number of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Thanks

Another recommendation for Sitges. It is an easy 45 minute train ride to Barcelona. It definitely has Airbnb rentals.

You can also consider Tossa de Mar, north of Barcelona, about 1 hr by bus. Very popular with both locals and foreigners alike

The Costa Brava is north of Barcelona and has many towns and villages for your stay. We stayed in Begur and enjoyed it.

Hi
Sitges is your most obvious choice since there is direct train to barcelona. Two close options are algo Garrfa and Cateldefells, though Sitges has more charm.
Not far from Sitges you may want to consider wine country: Penedes is very close (the region where cava wines are produced) . Vilafranca and Saint Sadurni de Anoia are the 2 main locations to explore wineries. Am excellent 5 star hotel in a winery is in Vilafranca: Mastinell.
Another option south of Barcelona (and Sitges) is the area of Salou in Tarragona. It is not too far from Barcelona and there are good resorts. The theme park of PortAventura is in this area (closed now due to Covid)
