Reservation for Sagrada Familia & Palace of Catalan Music

We are planning a trip to Barcelona and want to book reservations to both Sagrada Familia and Palace of Catalan Music (for a concert). How far in advance should we reserve?

I don't know that the Sagrada Familia will necessarily sell out, but without advance tickets, there can be long lines. I think it's worth committing to a time, if you know your travel dates, at www.sagradafamilia.cat. I believe that people on my last tour bought concert tickets just a day ahead, but if the concert schedule is published and of interest to you, then again I'd go ahead to write that "in pen" on the calendar.

Thanks, Laura. I think you are right about committing to a time for Sagrada Familia. Any suggestions on the best time of day to visit?

We always take in a concert regardless of who/what is playing and purchase the tickets upon arrival in Barc. We strongly recommend sitting in the middle of the balcony as the acoustics a re great and you obtain wonderful views of all the interior. We also recommend taking a tour for which you should make advance reservations.

Thank you, Marbleskies, for suggesting the tour in addition to the concert. I was wondering if we still should include the tour if we have tickets to a concert.

Hi Christine, This will be my first time to Sagrada Familia and what I've heard is that visiting either in the morning or late in the afternoon is the best. It is also suggested that to get a ticket with access to a tower. I'm planning to try these suggestions during my visit this summer.

Thanks anushkamw. I've been wondering about timing. Perhaps Park Guell in the morning and Sagrada Familia in the afternoon or visa versa?

Sagrada in the morning, first thing.
Since admission for parc guell commenced we have advised folks to skip it.

Thanks Marbleskies! That's what I was thinking. We have our concert tickets for the Palace of Catalan Music, now I just have to commit to a time slot for the Sagrada Familia. The first entrance is at 9:00 a.m. which is a little early for us, but it seems like the best time?

Yes, goto one of the towers first then work your way down to the basement then go into the main building. This will be about a three hour visit.
