I will be visiting Spain for 2 weeks and Portugal for 1 week in September. I would like
to rent a travel hotspot for both places, to be picked up in Lisbon and returned in Madrid.
Has anyone rented a travel wifi and what were your experiences? What service did you use?
My husband and I will be using the wifi for an ipad and kindle, no phones.

We are planning to use Skyroam device for our upcoming trip. One of the reasons we chose it is because it shipped to us in the US so we didn't have to worry about picking it up and returning in Europe
I rented one on my April trip and it worked well. The only thing I would warn you about is to keep the device off unless you're using it. There were no instructions regarding this so I kept my device on all the time, thinking I would only use the data as needed like with our phones here. Big mistake, I racked up an extra $150 for extra GB on top of the original $80 charge for the rental and first 5 GB. I could've just used my Verizon travel pass with less hassle. It was a good thing my friend and I were able to split the bill.
