We are renting a car from Avis at the Granada Airport (May 3) and returning 9 days later to Portugal Airport. I am wondering if it comes with a toll transponder or another toll reading device. I have attempted to contact Avis at the Granada Airport regarding my question without success. I also contacted Avis in the US with same result. (They suggested I contact Avis at Granda Airport which I did originally.) Please advise if you have knowledge/advise. I know I can "purchase" a 3 day pass but we will be traveling on several toll roads for more than three days so the transponder device seems to be the better choice. I maybe misinformed but appreciate any advise or thoughts.

I can't answer your question, but I want to raise another issue.
Have you got a quote for this car yet? Granada to Lisbon is an international one-way car hire. International one-way car hire usually has a large surcharge and can be very €€€xpensive.

Check the drop charge - it could be very substantial.

Thank you. I am aware of the drop fee. It is not insignificant but our only option.
