Renfre changed a train ticket I booked with Trainline

We are traveling via train next month all one ways from Madrid to Cordoba to Granada. Then Granada to Seville, changing in Cordoba. I booked tickets last month with Trainline after reading much easier with credit card from US. I understand Trainline works with Renfre. Yesterday I received an email from Renfre showing me a time change from Granada of just a few minutes but then stopping at Antequera AV (Not Cordoba) then onto Madrid. We are are going onto Seville, not Madrid.
I have no notifications or changes from Trainline. I created an acct with Renfre but the localizer # (reference #) on ticket are different so I couldn't find my schedule with Renfre, even after I put in my train date, time, locations, etc. I guess I should call Trainline (or Renfre if not corrected)? I read the Rail is going on strike maybe tomorrow. Not sure if this is just a glitch or has anyone had similar issue? THX for bearing with my long-winded story!

Bumping this up for you. Did you find out any answers? I recently booked my Spain trips through trainline too...

First look at the ticket type you purchased— refundable, changeable vs nonrefundable and not changeable..
That will determine if you have options other than contacting The Trainline to see what they can do for you. If you bought tickets for the journey originating in Granada with the destination of Seville, then
Renfe will need to get you there. Keep in mind there are frequent Alsa buses from Granada to Seville that can get you there in just three hours— just 30 minutes more than the high-speed trains routed through Cordoba.
Good news also in that there are no upcoming scheduled rail strikes in Spain to worry about. There will be some labor actions in October at Alicante’s airport and actions affecting bus transport in the Canary Islands— but no rail strikes.

That is the drawback of booking tickets from third parties. But since it is Renfe that runs the trains, you should probably trust their information.

I'm wondering if you can't find your train on Renfe because it's fully booked so not showing up when you search?

Not Spain and Renfe, but Germany and Deutsche Bahn, but might still apply.

Does your Trainline ticket indicate a train number? If so, did you try searching with that?

I ask because Deutsche Bahn changed a departure station for us last summer. When I searched for my train the night before we left using the original departure station, our train didn't exist. I searched by train number and found the train leaving from the new station, original time. I never received notice of the departure change even though I had a Deutsche Bahn account and had booked direct. Surprise, surprise.

I had the same experience with my upcoming Granada to Madrid trip. I contacted Rail Europe, where I purchased the tickets. They immediately wrote back and attached new updated tickets.

I would've liked to book direct since I always do. Couldn't get the Renfe website or app to work on multiple devices. 😕

Deb,
Do you mind sharing your ticket information (date, time, etc) and/or the email you received from Renfe?

Have you contacted Trainline?

I’d suggest contacting Renfe by calling

Thank you all for your advice! I emailed Trainline since I booked with them. Got a response yesterday and they asked me to forward the Renfre email. So will give it a few days and will let you all know the outcome.

Hi Everyone,
Trainline customer support was awesome. They sent me updated tickets with new time but still to Cordoba and then assured me my tickets were good from Cordoba to Seville. Very prompt and so helpful. TY for all your help too!

Glad this situation was resolved for you by the folks at The Trainline.
I don’t know where one would begin to resolve such a glitch had the ticket been reserved directly with Renfe.
Have a great Trip!
