Renfe website confusion

Is it just me or has anybody else had issues using the Renfe website, when first going on and selecting English its fine I enter my departure and arrival stations, then after pressing continue to select a train and time it reverts back to Spanish with no option to return to English and even translating the page will not work.

Does anyone have any suggestions for booking trains online for Spain bar Renfe

Many thanks in advance

I used the Loco2 website a few weeks ago to book tickets from Sevilla to Madrid for the end of May. It was very easy to use. The website is in English and you can choose between Euro and Pounds. You can pay with a regular credit card and they send you an email confirmation as well as your tickets via email.
There is a small fee, but I felt that it was well worth it. I would highly recommend it.

Thank you both for your help, I normally buy on the day but this time I am getting trains at peak times and didn't want to leave it to chance.

Thanks again

Yes, PayPal is better for the Renfe site. I always book directly with Renfe, rather than use another site that charges me a fee. If I run into translation difficulties, I use Google Translate on my phone. The camera option translates in real time and is accurate enough to get through a purchase. Just so you know, Turista is second class, and I think it's quite nice - footrests, large tray tables, comfortable seats and room to move around. Look for Promo fares that are extra cheap. I bought a ticket from Barcelona to Madrid whose walk-up price was 132 euros or so for 39 euros by buying about 60 days before my trip.

... just for info, there are high-speed trains, medium distance (MD), Regional, Regional Express and commuting trains. You can only pre-book online for high-speed, MDs and some Regional/Regional Express; for other Regional/Regional Express and for commuting trains there's only buying at the station on the day.
