I'll be in Spain October 16-31 and planned to take the 2pm train from Madrid to Granada on Saturday, the 22nd. Up until the 16th of Oct there are 5 Renfe high-speed trains scheduled throughout the day, including a 2pm departure. Renfe's finally made the next week of tickets available, but starting on Monday, October 17th, there are only 2 trains a day, at 8am and 6pm. Does something happen mid-month that travel to Granada decreases by 60%? Is it possible Renfe adds in more trains later? (We had planned to spend the morning in Madrid.) Thanks for any help you can provide.
Renfe appears to be a bit lax when it comes to loading train schedules.
So I’d just keep checking every few days for the other times to appear.
Did you book your Alhambra tickets yet?
Enjoy your time in beautiful Spain!
Thank you, Priscilla. Yes, I've got the Alhambra tickets for Sunday morning, and a reservation with a guide who came highly recommended in these forums.
I have been trying to book Renfe train tickets for months and don't see any train times at all. It gives an error message saying no trains are scheduled. We've tried all our cities, madrid to toledo, to Granada, to seville then to barcelona. It looks like you found several options. Please help me. How do you search?
Stevemelanie14, our options for Madrid to Granada just became available, 2 months in advance. Other tickets, like Seville to Madrid, seem to be available already. I think it depends on where you're going.
