I understand most things on the Renfe site, but am puzzled by the abbreviation "bird" under services. I guess it's an AVE train. What then is AVE-TGV ? Thank you.
Are you using a web browser with some auto-translate function? Because "ave" happens to be Spanish for "bird" so perhaps it has seen "AVE" and translated by mistake.
I’m using google chrome which in this instance is auto translating while usually I have to initiate the translation. Thanks for the Spanish lesson! I had a feeling my question would be answered by something obvious to others, but not me.
AVE = Alta Velocidad Espanola = High Speed Spanish It is the fastest train category in Spain travelling up to 300kph on dedicated tracks.
