We are flying home from Malaga airport midweek at the end of March. We would prefer to spend our last night in Ronda instead of Malaga, but are concerned that the Damas bus leaving Ronda at 6:30am may not reliably deliver us to the Malaga airport by 8:30-9 am. Can anyone vouch for the reliability of scheduling of these buses?

It's not clear based on the wording here, but I assume you are aware that the Damas bus from Ronda doesn't arrive at the airport but instead at the bus station in Málaga (across the street from the main María Zambrano railway station)?
Yes, I am aware that the buses do not stop at the airport. I think it is probably best to play it safe and transit to Malaga the day before our departing flight, so as to not run into any trouble with delays. Thanks.
I would absolutely not spend the night in Ronda before a transatlantic flight out of Malaga. I wouldn't trust any form of public transportation to get me there on time with $1000+ at risk.
I've had a train canceled at nearly the last minute (heading out of Paris), I've had two Channel Island ferries canceled (between France and the UK), and the only Sunday bus from Ripoll to Girona (Spain) just didn't show up, marooning me in what turned out be a nice town, but costing me a second hotel room.
Stuff happens. I'd be worried about making that flight for at least the last few days of my trip.
I figured as much. I was lucky enough to score the round trip plane tickets for $300 each. I would be very upset if a missed flight destroyed my budget ticket bliss!
Thanks all!
