Looking for hotel recommendationi in the Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona. My daughter and I will be staying for 4 days and wish to visit Sagrada Familia and Montserrat. I understand the main train station for Montserrat is at Plaça d’Espanya.

Just visited last week and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express City 22 and it was modern, clean, safe, great air con and breakfast included-a five min walk to a great pedestrian street with great shade from the high temps and dozens of restaurants and also 5 min walk to the metro which worked well for us to go to the same places you want to visit - both were amazing…

I can't recommend a specific hotel because I live here, so I've never needed to stay in one.
That said, I'd say the district of l'Eixample is a great area to stay. It's very central, well-connected by metro and bus, and you can easily reach many of Barcelona's main attractions, often just by walking.
