Hello, if you can recommend an e-sim for a short Spain trip (12 days), let me know.
We used Airalo e-sim data for our London and Barcelona trip October 2024. Side trips to Montserrat, Sitges. E-sim worked fine, no complaints .
Same for me. Data only with Airalo is normally all I need and its been reliable for me in a lot of countries. If you think you need a Spanish telephone number, you could look at Orange.
We've used Airalo regional e-sim for Egypt/Jordan/Qatar last November. Easy to set up and use. Before then, had good success with Orange (swapped physical sim card).
We used Airolo. We bought the data only for one of our phones, and the global with cell service for the other, but really only needed the data. I recommend getting a local one/USA one for $5 to practice using it.
Good idea getting a $5 esim to practice with. Even better, you can get a one-time esim for free from Airalo. For the US, it's 500 mb. of data for 3 days. I did that, worked fine for me.
Edit: I looked at my notes. I have an older Samsung Android phone, and when I downloaded the free Esim, I was unable to get data until I added an APM for Airalo. That might not be a problem with newer phones or Iphones, I don't know. But another reason to try a free trial download. Also, Airalo uses Verizon and Tmobile in the U.S.
Check out esimdb.com. You can find eSIMs that are much less expensive than Airalo. You can also find one that gives you the best combination of data allowance and time period for your specific needs.
Thanks to all who replied! Very helpful!
