Received Parking Ticket in Barcelona, would like to appeal and/or pay cannot find how

Hi,

I rented a car in Barcelona, parked it for a couple of minutes to wait for my wife, the police came up and gave me a very hefty parking ticket (say Redut of find 500 and reduced fine of 250).

I wanted to try to submit an appeal online OR pay the fine (the site of Barcelona municipality seems to indicate that if you pay within first 20 days you can get a discount). But I cannot find where and how I can do it.

I found this URL where I am supposed to be able to look up the ticket but it says ticket not found (maybe it's too early, I received it 2 business days ago on Wed, today is Sunday): https://multestransit.gencat.cat/sctPagaments/AppJava/views/expedients/cerca.xhtml?index=0

Is this is the right site?

Does it make sense for me to try to appeal or just try to pay it ASAP? Any thoughts with knowledge on this would be appreciated.

on what grounds would you appeal? Is there an error on the ticket? You can't just appeal because you don't like it.... there will normally be a cost to appeal

That seems to be the correct site.

In the first box should be the infraction number and it provides a few images of where to find it on the notice when you click on the question mark.
In the drop down box, select otros (other).
In the Identity Document Number box you’d place your passport number.

After you enter the information, click on the buscar button. Follow the instructions that come up.

I’d pay it ASAP to get the 50% reduction.
