Dreadful. Customer service/complaints/manager appear to be just the one person - Letty.
Website says you can cancel minus the admin fee. Not true. Lost ALL the money! Wanted to add suitcases to the booking. Couldn’t do it. Only option was to pay €30 per case at the station. Trainline allowed me to do it for €10 per case. Plus, I know from personal experience that Trainline’s customer service consists of more than one person!
Really angry at RailClick’s limited and misleading website. Still waiting for a response to my complaint.
Definitely do not use RailClick when Trainlune offers a superior, and cheaper, service.
Its always unfortunate to see a first time poster with a bad experience, which might have been avoided if they had sought advice here ( or elsewhere) before hand. The usual advice on this forum is to book directly with the train company, or trainline if the former is too difficult for them. I see that TrustPilot rates this company as very poor. Could you dispute the charges with your credit card company?
Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have never heard of that company. Where did you find it? Whenever possible, book directly with the company specific train site. I am not a fan of Trainline, either. I used Trainline as a last resort once for France because the SNCF website wouldn't take my credit card, so I booked thru Trainline. I found their customer service to be horrible. My trip was cancelled due to COVID, Trainline said contact SNCF and SNCF said they couldn't do anything because we booked with Trainline. This was never resolved because I gave up.
You've posted under Spain. Spain's train company is RENFE. I've had excellent experience with booking direct with RENFE and we just carried on our luggage.
I actually thought I was booking an agent directly affiliated with Renfe. It was only after I needed to add luggage that I found out, after two separate email exchanges, that RailClick was simply a booking agent.
Thank you too for the suggestion to raise this issue with my credit card company. I’ll investigate that now!
Thank you for the warning!
I've done booking on the Renfe and Oigo sites (I think Oigo runs a few high speed rail routes within Spain). Renfe's website didn't consistently play well with my credit card companies. After many calls to my CC companies was able to get one set of tickets with one card but had to go with Trainline to purchase another set of tickets. There was an additional cost to going with Trainline, but they sent the Renfe tickets via email immediately after the purchase.
All of the tickets worked without any problems. Just had to show my passport and tickets to the agent before entering the trackside queue.
Booked 4 round trip Trenitalia Regional train tickets Messina Centrale to Taormina Giardini for September 13, 2024 using italiatren.com / railclik.com. Norwegian Epic changed itinerary from Messina to Catamia, so sought to cancel tickets. Spoke with railclik customer service rep. Letty from the Philippines. She didn’t know how to process the refund, so sent to “escalations”. No email received by her as she stated, so called back, spoke with another rep (might have been Letty) who said “tickets are not refundable per Trenitalia’s policy”. Untrue. Both Italian.com / railclik.com and Trenitalia.com state 80% refund. Italiatren is a confusingly similar name to the official Trenitalia and railclik.com, who charges a booking fee (no need to pay any additional fee if booking directly) is a deceptively fraudulent entity that cites completely false refund policies. I have filed complaints with their firm (waste of time), as well as Trenitalia and the appropriate EU regulatory oversight authorities. I have also filed for a chargeback with my credit card company and sent all refund policies and even Trenitalia rep online chat stating, yes, you are entitled to an 80% refund. BEWARE of italiatren.com and railclik.com! Strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
I like to buy train tickets in advance when I really need to, but I know that often the tickets can be non-refundable if I access special fares.
I have never heard of the company that you are complaining about, but there are so many bargain travel consolidators out there that it is hard to keep track.
As many here have said, do research in advance before purchasing. Budget is not always better. Best wishes for your refund!
On the response to your complaint, check your Spam box......After reading your issue, I have been missing one ticket of many purchased, unfortunately by Railclick....... the goos news, I found the ticket in my Spam box! Good luck.

There is no need to buy tickets for regional trains in advance, and it is often indeed not possible to get refunds for non reserved trains, as it is often not possible to prevent you from travelling on those tickets anyway, and clever locals would take advantage of it...
I thought I was booking with Eurostar but after purchasing a ticket from London to Paris found out it was Railclick.
The email asked that I add more info before receiving my ticket. Couldn't access that form but was asked for my passport info I decided to cancel my purchase. I did this all within an hour so I am hoping that Railclick will not post the charge.
However I think the entire site is very misleading...and I advise everyone to stay away.
I am resigned to probably never getting a refund but I am definitely forewarned. Requires an intense focus to sift through the fraudulent vs bonafide sites and that is tedious plus feels like a total waste of time. Remembering travel agents in offices and thinking I'll drop into an office today for rail tickets!
