Questions on White Hill Towns

Planning a trip to Spain this Fall. Barcelona, Madrid, Granada and then on to Seville. My question is this....are the White Hill Towns worth the time? Should be just do a day trip from Granada or rent a car and drive and spend the night? Which ones are worth the time? Thanks!

While you can " see " one of these places in a day , lingering a bit is worthwhile . We spent three days in Ronda on our trip last fall , just before leaving Spain for Central Europe , and were charmed .

We enjoyed Arcos de Le Frontera on our RS tour last summer. Ronda was nice, but Arcos had that real white hill town feel. I would definitely stay a night.

A car is preferable, and Ronda makes a good stop, if you have several days between Granada and Seville. You could spend a few hours in Arcos de la Frontera on the way from Ronda to Seville.

With time in Ronda, and a hire car, you can explore some of the white hill towns (pueblos blancos).
•Zahara dela Sierra
•Grazalema
•Vejer de la Frontera
•Setenil de las Bodegas
•Olvera
