Hi I will be staying in Placa de Catalunya- i am looking for a place for breakfast that will have eggs, oatmeal, yogurt etc.. Can anyone recommend a good place?

Les Quinze Nits? Yeah, although a beautiful square, the Plaza Real has become real tourist trap these past few years, try the area around Poble Sec or El Born next time ;-)

In case you're in a time crunch some morning, there's a large (2-story) Carrefour market on La Rambla about 2 blocks south of Placa de Catalunya. I went there often to pick up yogurt and a cup of cut-up fruit for breakfast. You can find everything you need there for a cold breakfast, maybe even boiled eggs.

An 8-minute walk down La Rambla, there is Cafè de l'Opera, where I had such a good breakfast (albeit 8 years ago) that I took a picture of it.
