Purchasing Alhambra Tickets - Pulling my hair out!

Hi there,

Has anyone experienced trouble with purchasing Alhambra tickets? My credit card is a Visa (so its accepted) and I've been entering my credit card info correctly every time, I've even had my partner try it, and when it gets to the verification stage a small window pops up, then a spiny wheel spins, then the window quickly closes and I'm told "Your credit card information is incorrect, if this keeps happening please contact your bank." I contacted my bank (both of them as I've tried two different cards) and I have the clearance to purchase these tickets, but no matter what, even from a variety of different computers and internet browsers, I still get that darn error message. I'm not going to have any hair left on my head before I get to Spain and I leave at the end of May!! I've been trying this for about a month now. Any suggestions? Please help this young new traveler!

Nolan,

Sorry you're having trouble booking your Alhambra tickets.

I'd suggest ordering your tickets via phone by calling the Alhambra at 902 888 001 ( if dialing from the US: 011- 34- 902 - 888- 001 )

Hope this helps :-)

Can you try a different Visa card? There have been problems reported in other countries (especially Germany) with cards beginning with 4147. It is something to do with the fees charged by the issuing bank. Also, some Spanish agencies (such as Renfe) require that cards be registered with Verified by Visa. In other words, not all Visa cards are accepted.

Whats strange is that both of my cards are verified by Visa, it's been a long complicated process. I'll probably just give them a call here in a few hours when their office opens and just purchase over the phone.

You might need to call your bank--sometimes fraud protection will cut off foreign purchases even though you're personally still in the country. If that's the case, your bank will need to unlock it.
