Purchased two tickets from RickSteve's site but there are no names on the tickets.

Hello,
As the title states, I purchased two tickets through the RickSteve's link and received the pdf saying to print out our tickets.
I did that, but it only shows two different ticket numbers but there are no names printed on them. How am I to know who's ticket is who's?
This is for a trip in Sept from Madrid Atocha to Barcelona First Class. It shows different seat numbers but again, no names on the tickets.
Is this normal?
TIA
Peggy

How am I to know who's ticket is who's? - Who cares. This is normal, train tickets do not belong to a specific person. Anybody can use them.

train tickets do not belong to a specific person
Which is not totally true. In my experience emailed pdf tickets carry a name or another identifier, such as a credit card number.

Thank you for your reply. I have never traveled Euro rail before and wanted to make sure since I printed out the tickets and they are in Spanish, I also printed out Rick Steve's "How do I ready my RENFE Print at Home ticket?" And on his translation it shows in box "22" "Datos Del Cliente" ("Customer Details") with name number etc. etc. My tickets do not have that. So I was concerned. This should be addressed by Rich Steve's since it could be problematic to new travelers.
THANKS AGAIN!

"I have never traveled Euro rail before" - nor will you be, you will be travelling by RENFE, which is the Spanish national railway company.
Euro rail is the travel agent you bought your tickets from.

So I was concerned
Please check whether the absence of names indeed won't be a problem.

There are no names or identifiers or credit card number on my emailed pdf tickets.
Should I be concerned or not?

Interesting. I happened to buy my tickets online yesterday from the Renfe website, which is the typemof ticket you will also have, by the way (I did a test purchase off Rick's site), and though my name is on the receipt, it is no where on the actual ticket.
Does your ticket have a long bar code at the bottkmmof the page and those little scannable boxes on the ticket?
That might be where your information is.
Print your invoice/receipt to take with you, but if concerned you need to discuss this directly with the company as they provided the service.
Perhaps the instructions are generic and don't apply to all trains.

Yes, there is a long bar code at the bottom of the ticket. Perhaps as you say, this might be the identifier? I will print out the receipt as you suggest. Thank you very much for your reply.

Glad I could help. Since it seems to be like the Renfe ticket, then it should be okay....however, only Rick's support team can guarantee it.

The majority of train tickets don't have names on them and are transferable. Each country has a different system. Some print-at-home tickets have added more detail to try to avoid duplication but Renfe does not require this. The bar code is the important part. Your ticket will be scanned near the gate before boarding this train, and luggage also passed through a scanner, rather than the more common European practice of checking tickets onboard the train.
