Itinerary Finalization Help

We are traveling to Barcelona R/T in May (the price was too good to pass up).

Day 1- Barcelona Arrive 4:30pm
Day 2- Barcelona
Day 3- Barcelona
Day 4- Barcelona (evening fly to Granada)
Day 5- Granada
Day 6 - Depart Granada for ??
Day 7 - Ronda ??
Day 8 - ??
Day 9 - Seville
Day 10 - Seville
Day 11 - Seville (Day trip to Cordoba via train)
Day 12 - Fly back to Barcelona in the morning, Fly home in the afternoon

The flights are the only thing set in stone. I did book a rental car for day 6 -9 (pick up in Granada drop off in Seville).

Yes, leave Morocco for next year. The problem with separate flight bookings for the same day is that if there's a delay, you lose your ticket and have to buy at full fare - provided there's another flight with empty seats. It's too big a gamble for me.

  1. Spend a couple nights in Barcelona, then fly to/from Granada for 3 nights. Try to arrive early enough in the day for an evening visit to the Nasrid Palaces at the Alhambra, then one full day for the Alhambra and one more for the rest of Granada. There is plenty to see and do in Barcelona and several good day trips by train. You could spend a couple nights in Valencia. The big problem with multiple destinations is that there's nowhere east of Granada that you can get to efficiently except the flight to BCN.

  2. Spend a couple nights in Barcelona, rent a car and take a road trip through Spain to Granada. Then fly back to Barcelona for a couple nights.

Day 6 - Pick up hire car. Drive from Granada to Ronda (2 nights)
Day 7 - Day by car visiting Grazalema & Zahara
Day 8 - Drive from Ronda to Jerez (1 night) perhaps visiting Arcos de la Frontera en route
Day 9 - Drive from Jerez to Seville. Drop off hire car
