My daughter will be arriving at the Santander airport on Friday August 25 and continuing on to Santillana del Mar . What buses go there and how can I get the schedule and fares?

ALSA goes from the Santander airport to the city. Its website is alsa.es . It doesn't work on my tablet, so I don't know how frequent the buses are. Click on "espanol" at the upper right to change the language to English. I think you'll be able to find the fare on the website. It may be different for each departure.
La Cantabrica runs buses from Santander to San Vicente, stopping at Santillana del Mar. Its website is lacantabrica.net, and there doesn't seem to be an English version. Click on "horarios", then choose your day of the week (Viernes) and month of the year (Agosto). A list of all the buses running that day will appear. For Fridays in August, I see departures from Santander at 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:55 PM, 3:15 PM, 5:15 PM, and 7:15 PM. To see the arrival time at Santillana del Mar, click on "Ver Trayecto" for the desired departure time. I can't find the fare, but it should not be very high.

Thanks acraven! I went on La Cantabrica's website, but it doesn't say whether it leaves from Santander airport or somewhere else in the City. I emailed them with the question.

The schedule is from the bus station in Santander (quite a busy place; allow some time for buying the ticket there). I'd be surprised if La Cantabrica serves the airport.
