Hi Is it possible to take a public boat from Porto into Spain? I know there are tour cruises, but as transportation, one way? There aren't a lot of overland choices W-E and I've always wondered if there is a ferry.

The parents of a former coworker took a cruise that included a day in Salamanca. When the cruise boat got to the border, a bus was used to go to Salamanca. The cruises I know of end on the Portugal side of the border by the Pont Almirante Sarmento Rodrigues in Barca d’Alva. On your own, transportation from it to anywhere would be a pain at best since there is no train or bus station there.
