Hi, Im traveling with someone who recently recovered from covid. I understand proof of recovery includes the positive test results and a release of isolation letter. I have a release letter from my local health department but The test was an at home rapid test. How do I show a positive test?

He/She will need to take an "official test." If it is still positive, you will have your positive test to go with the release letter. I'm not sure if the fact that your release letter is dated prior to your positive test will be an issue or not.
Perhaps he/she will test negative and the issue will be moot.
I am extremely surprised that the local health department wasn't a little more on top of telling you to get documentation of the positive test when they issued a recovery letter.
