Prado Museum Tickets

I am trying to buy Prado museum tickets online. To my knowledge there was is also an option to buy guided tour which is normally an hour. Currently I am not seeing any option to buy a guided tour. i would like to know if the tour is still offered or it is no longer an option.

Also, do we need to reserve a slot or ticket if we want to visit the museum in evening during free hours?

Thanks

You are supposed to reserve a slot for free hours, but I've heard of people getting in without a reservation.

I see your conundrum about tours. The visit price page lists them as available for 10€, but only at the very bottom of the actual booking page does is say 'Visitas guiadas Disponibles en taquilla del Museo'—guided visits available at the museum box office. I dont see information about scheduling for those.

Ah- Here it is: https://www.museodelprado.es/en/visit/plan-your-visit

GUIDED VISITS OF THE COLLECTION
Visit the museum with us
Ticket + €10
60-minute guided tour of a selection of the Museum’s masterpieces
Spanish - 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 3:15 pm and 5:00 pm
English - 1:00 pm

But I've no idea if those sell out... Frustrating.

We spent over 5 hours in the Prado about 2 weeks ago. Had advance tickets - quick entry. Long line for tickets. Guides offering services near entry. They asked how much time you had and what was of interest. We encountered plenty of guided groups inside. As far as we could tell, the guides knew their stuff. Some moved fast; others very slowly. Indeed, one group was in front of the Bosch "Garden..." for over 15 minutes, describing in painful detail things requiring a telescope to see. Better to read an art book beforehand. We used RS plus our own knowledge and interests for our guide. LOTS of people. But, what a museum! Cafe good & reasonable. Heat and humidity limited our stay, so we came back for the free time a day later. Fuggedaboutit! Longer lines and student groups. Worth a try, I guess. Purchased the Paseo del Arte pass online. Thyssen better than we expected. - spent almost 3 hours. Sofia - Guernica and some Dalis in adjacent room - about an hour. We were not "into" most of their exhibits.
