Possibly a dumb question about gardens?

I am starting the pre-planning of reading up about sites in Spain, hoping to do a ~10 day trip to areas like Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba. I have been reading some trip reports that talk about the gardens at some of the key sites, and am wondering if those will be something I should plan to spend time in if we visit in December/January? I don't know what type of gardens and if it's water features, fountains, etc., might still be beautiful even in winter? Any tips would be appreciated, thank you!

We visited Andalusia beginning to mid November. The gardens we visited at the Sevilla Alcazar, Granada Alhambra, Cordoba Mezquita and the jewish quarter gardens were all lovely. I believe the particular orange trees have foliage year round. Olive trees had foliage as well. That said, I'm not sure how the gardens will look in December vs. Novemeber or what I missed if anything by not visiting in the spring or summer, the heat that's for sure.

I was in Granada early November and tje Aljambra gardens were still lovelu. Granted, the roses were going over and the last few pomegranates where overripe and bursting, but there were plantings of flowers conducive to the season. Yes, they are more European with lots of hardscaping, fountains and evergreen hedging and shrubs, but I expect they will do their best to have year around interest...even if it means Christmas urns. I assum unlike Versailles or German chateaus that have to take in and use their Orangeries for the citrus trees, these will be left out and evergreen.
You are bound to be able to find footage of the gardens you aremi terested in on YouTube. Google Alhambra gardens January and see what you get.
When in Seville, see if you can make time for Palacio de las Duenas. It is a family home but lovely intimate gardens worth visiting. It is the home of the House of Alba. Until 2014 run by the 18th Duchess of Alba. Please read about her. She was quite the colourful character. Even in the Guiness World book for having most titles....57!
As well, the gardens affiliated with the Parque de Maria Louisa are nice to ramble through. If you jave to choose one, I would say Parque Maria Louisa as it also has the Plaza de Espagna.

I visited in February and the Alhambra flower gardens were a bit scraggly, the shubbery had recently been pruned, but everything was green. The Alcazar gardens in Sevilla were beautiful, those in Cordoba had been severely pruned and not very nice. Running water in the pools and fountains. Citrus and olive trees are in abundance everywhere in Andalucia and do not lose their leaves. You will probably see oranges on the trees - there always are. So in Dec-Jan, the gardens should be a lot nicer than in February.

no dumb questions. For every one asked there are hundreds who don't ask and go around in a fog.

Keep asking...

My mantra - no dumb questions, but some awfully dumb answers, not from forum members though
