Hoping for some feedback re: portable wifi/hotspot recommendations, preferably ones that can be picked up at the Madrid airport. There will be five of us connecting (me, the travel coordinator; husband, who needs to connect w his office periodically; and three teens which is self explanatory), so we’re probably looking for more data rather than less. But the airport pick up is really the big deal for us, as we’ll be spending our first night in an apartment in Toledo and I would very much like to avoid dealing with the logistics of coordinating a delivery to the apartment. I have used traveled to France and Spain using a SkyRoam. There were four of us in Spain with multiple devices. It worked great.
You can order it ahead of time instead of picking up at the airport and then you are ready to go when you have landed.
The only issue with it is if the group splits up then some of you have wifi access and the others don't. But that didn't happen very often.

I don't have an answer, but I am quite surprised that the apartment has no wifi. It has been 3 or 4 years since I've stayed in apartments in France, Italy, and Switzerland but back then every single one had decent wifi. The two apartments in Rome both even had computers for our use.

I should clarify, we’re not staying at the apartment for long and will be traveling around the south before going to Barcelona and then ending up in Madrid. Perhaps some or all of our lodgings will have wifi but my husband needs to know he’ll have access to his office where ever we are.
