My college age son will be arriving in Madrid for a month of studying. He will arrive on a Saturday, but needs to be back to the airport on Sunday morning to catch a private bus his American university arranged for its students. Please recommend affordable hotels or BnB near the airport. Unluckily the Madrid Youth Hostel has no openings when I checked online.

Hotel Nuevo Boston. It's close, has an airport shuttle and restaurant. I paid around $60 last June.

I've booked Hostal El Principie in Barajas for my early morning flight. It's 500m from the Metro de Barajas station, so one doesn't have to wait for a shuttle. Is the place any good? Has an 8.0 rating on TripAdvisor. Affordable? 38.5 E is for me. Breakfast is not included but there is an onsite restaurant serving breakfast.
