Visiting Seville in June with our 7 year old son, when is the best time of the day to go visit Plaza de España? Getting mixed reviews to either go early in the morning vs around 7pm (paseo) vs sunset.
My mom and I visited the beautiful Plaza de España one late morning and it was not crowded, but this was in October.
I’d suggest going sometime during daylight so you can admire the beautifully detailed and colorful tiled murals depicting the various provinces of Spain.
Enjoy your time in beautiful Sevilla!
If you search for the plaza using the Google search engine, you should see a chart labelled "Popular Times". The chart estimates how busy it may be for each hour of each day of week.
For me, anytime is a good time to go. In June it will be fairly busy, so keep an eye on your son. If the crowds are large he could lose sight of you. He’ll have a great time just running around, looking at the water, and going back and forth over the bridges. Consider going there both during daylight hours and again at dusk/night when there are fewer people around.
Thank you fellow travelers for the response and recommendations!
We are looking forward to our trip.
I think the evening Paseo time is really best. Seville in 2024 is HOT during midday hours; even in shoulder months. Plus, there's just more of a community vibe going on in the early evening.
