planning a 12 day trip to spain

hello

We are a group of 10 adults planning a trip to Spain but not Barcelona as we have already visited it.

what itinerary can u suggest - we like a feew days at a nice beach with warm water so those who want to swim can do so & others can explore the town . We like nature not visiting cathedrals or museums . We want to simply enjoy , sightsee, do small easy hikes. We are mosty vegetarian and do not eat sea food .

We are having a tough time trying to do a itinerary . Thought we could hire a van and a driver and travel around . We could also take the fast train .

Many thanks in advance

I would consider the north. Galicia is lovely and the beaches are very nice, but not as crowded as the Costa del Sol. Also, it isn't as touristy as other parts of Spain. I haven't been to Asturias, but I've also heard that is very nice. Last summer, we went to Bilbao, Lekeitio, and San Sebastian. San Sebastian is quite popular with Spaniards and other tourists and the beach was packed in early July, but we enjoyed it very much. The food is fabulous there and it's fun to walk around the old town or hike to the summit of the twin hills on either side of the Concha beach. The water was fine for swimming in early July, but it was quite crowded. Lekeitio is a picturesque fishing village about an hour from San Sebastian. The beach there was also beautiful and in late June, not at all crowded. I think it picks up in July and August. We used the bus to travel from Bilbao to Lekeitio to San Sebastian and then took the train to Barcelona. The bus system in Spain is cheap, easy and efficient. I don't know about hiring drivers. Good luck!
