I have no experience driving in Spain, but I just want to point out that for the trip from Malaga to Madrid, the train will take about half the driving time--less than 3 hours vs. more than 5 hours. For the trip to Seville, train time (via Cordoba) and driving time are similar.
I spot-checked fares on the Renfe website and found non-changeable tickets to Madrid currently as low as 48 euros one-way for December 8, but they can go much higher. I don't think tickets for the Christmas season are available yet.
How long is your trip? Are you flying in and out of Malaga? Are you staying in Malaga and considering day trips or do you want to spend part of your time in other cities? Barcelona is way too far for a day trip. Why would you want to drive? Here are some tools
