Plan 10-12 day trip that includes Sevilla

We have been to Madrid, Granada and Barcelona on a previous two week trip and loved each of these cities. I am planning a trip for April or May for 10-12 days and so far Sevilla is on the list. We will travel by train and I would love suggestions on what to add to this trip. As far as what we like to do: we loved the museums, food tours and tapas in Madrid and enjoyed a day in Toledo. In Granada the Alhambra was magnificent and we enjoyed a walking tour and food tour . Barcelona was our favorite with the Gaudi architecture and La Sagrada Familia took our breath away. We also enjoyed wandering all neighborhoods of the city, tapas and a day trip to the Dali museum. I try to not overplan but one city is the other extreme! Thanks!

Pam,

You may consider adding Córdoba and Ronda. Will you be flying into Madrid? If so, you may start your trip in Córdoba, a nice quiet city in which to get over jet lag.

I am planning a trip for April or May for 10-12 days and so far Sevilla is on the list.

Keep in mind that Sevilla gets very crowded (and hotels are expensive and get booked fast) in April during Semana Santa (Holly week), and in May during Feria, so plan accordingly.

Edit to add...

I must add that the best food we've had in Spain was in Córdoba and Sevilla.

Even taking Granada out of the mix, I think there's plenty in Andalucía to keep you occupied. If not, and if you find it financially advantageous to fly into and/or out of Madrid, consider visiting Segovia or Cuenca. If done as a side trip Cuenca needs to be reached by AVE (about 1 hour, vs. 3 hours on the slow train), and for reasons of economy you'd probably want to buy that AVE rail ticket early.

10-12 days is a long time in the one place so I have a couple of thoughts here.
Are you in Winchester UK? So flying from London?

As well as Sevilla (and Córdoba) you could also include Bilbao/San Sebastian and fly back to London from Bilbao.
Sevilla (4N)
Córdoba (3N)
San Sebastián (3N)
Bilbao (2N)

Alternatively, some time to make a path Sevilla >>Jerez >>Arcos >>Ronda, before flying home from Malaga.
Sevilla (5N)
Jerez (3N)
Ronda (2N)
Malaga (2N)

All considered, I would prefer travelling in May.
