A quick trip from Alicante to Barcelona. Found the train. Where to stay for a night or two in Barcelona to be close to main sight seeings.

Our favorite place for walking distance to main sights is Hotel Jazz. Modern hotel, excellent breakfast, & roof top area to relax at the end of the day. Perfect for a couple nights.

We stayed at Hotel Balmes, Carrer de Mallorca, 216, when we were there. It’s close to casa Batlo and casa Mila, and about 12 blocks from Sagrada Familia. It’s about a 20 minutes walk from Las Ramblas. We enjoyed the location, but it may be too far away from some of the sights for you.

We stayed at the Mirror Hotel. It was clean and quiet! We walked everywhere from there. It was a 25 minute walk to Sagarada and around 30 minute walk to Placa Espana. There are lots of restaurants around there as well. Did I mention it was quiet!
