Anyone have experience with hotel location in Place Sant Josep? Near las ramblas in Old City. Safe enough to return to at night? I don't have a feeling for safety concerns yet.

Anyone have experience with hotel location in Place Sant Josep? Near las ramblas in Old City. Safe enough to return to at night? I don't have a feeling for safety concerns yet.
We stayed near Placa del Pi, which is nearby. It's a pedestrian area with lots of bars and restaurants. We walked all around there day and night. No issues. There always seemed to be people around, even very late.
