I just booked my train ticket from Barcelona to Granada direct. In the process, it did ask me to pick seat preference (Window/Aisle). Is it possible to pick an actual seat or is it auto-assigned based on the preference we picked?

There should have been a third option there, Window, Aisle, Selection my seat. (Don't recall the exact verbiage used)
What I've never been able to get to function is the check box to request the quiet car.
