Picasso Museum - Late Entry with No Advance Ticket

Our June time in Barcelona will be short and is already packed with items to do. We were not planning to visit the Picasso Museum on this trip. But I was wondering if we find ourselves with some time, is it possible to get into the museum later in the day with no advance tickets? I'm thinking about late afternoon at about 1700. If not possible, I won't worry about it. But if someone thinks the crowds might subside by this time of day, I will keep it as a possibility.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday until 8.30pm and Thursday until 9.30pm. I visited on a weeknight around 6 p.m. (I had a museum pass that covered the museum) and walked right in. I'm guessing it depends on the day (some days are "free days" check the website). You could still buy tickets online ahead of time - even if same day that would help you skip the line (if any).

I personally loved this museum, it's not enormous and focuses on his early work.
