We will be in Barcelona for two days after a cruise and I'm considering visiting the Picasso Museum, however the day we are available for a visit is the first Sunday of the month. Since it's free that day will it be overly crowded? Or maybe just skip it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There's crowded, then there's crowded... the Louvre is ALWAYS crowded in my opinion ;-)
It will definitely be crowded at any time!! It is interesting, but you will likely be shoulder to shoulder at almost any time you visit. I skipped it in September for that reason. Sagrada Familia (get your ticket on line in advance) would be my choice, but it will also be crowded, but much bigger space!
