I am traveling to Madrid, Seville, Cordoba and Granada in a few weeks. I am fully vaccinated but I am diabetic and am 79 years old. Given the present rise in covid cases I am wondering if I should contract Covid while traveling in Spain if paxlovid is available for travelers and if so how would one obtain it.
Rick
It is available in Spain, you would obtain it the same way you would in the US, you would need to go to a Doctor, be examined, and based on their prognosis, you might be prescribed it.
Much will be dependent on the severity of your illness, and, like in the US, the Doctor will need to know all of the medications you have taken in the last year, as well as any health issues. To that end, you might work with your Doctor to create a health summary to have with you, that you could hand to a Doctor.
Thank you for the advice
