Can anyone advise if the Patio Festival in Cordoba draws crowds that may affect hotels and normal tourist things. I'm not a fan of festivals and huge crowds and am currently planning a trip that would put me in Cordoba in the middle of that festival next year. Thank you in advance for any input.
I think you can work around the festival. It says on the website it is open 11am to 2pm and the 6pm to 10 pm. That gives you the morning and afternoon. Also, stay away on the weekend. Try to be there on the first few weekdays of the festival if you can.
We went to the patio festival May 2022. Yes it was very busy and crowded from about 1000 to 1800 with day trippers. Our airbnb rate was also about double during the festival. If you aren’t going specifically for the festival, I would plan another time!
I’ve only been during the festival (by happenstance) and Cordoba wasn’t particularly crowded. We NEVER saw huge crowds gathered anywhere and even the mezquita, while popular, never seemed the slightest bit crowded
I’m a crowd-hater so my tolerance is low. It just wasn’t an issue.
