I'm looking for information on how the Paseo del Arte card for Madrid works. I've read in some places that it allows you to skip the entrance lines but in other places I've read you still have to wait in line to exchange the voucher for a ticket. I've also read that if you purchase the card from the Reina Sofia website you can visit all the sites after you redeem the ticket at the Reina Sofia Express Ticket office, but would I also have to go the the Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza ticket offices to redeem tickets? My main concern is not wanting to wait in lines if I can avoid it. Thanks.
The card allows you entry to all 3 museums. The only line you will have to wait in is security, which can be long at the Prado. Use the Jeronimos entrance.
You really don't need to buy your card online if you visit either the Reina Sofia or the Thyssen first. The lines to enter either of those museums are shorter than the Prado and all the ticket agents speak at least some English.
